Scheduled Itinerary for Sunlight’s Japan Discovery Tours:
Day 1 – San Francisco/Osaka
Today you’ll board a magnificent 747 Jumbo Jetliner for your non-stop flight to Osaka via Japan Airlines.
Day 2 – Osaka
Arrive Osaka, transfer to the first class hotel for a good night sleep in preparation for an exciting trip the next day.
Day 3 – Osaka/Kobe/Kyoto
Start early this morning you’ll visit Osaka Castle then take bus ride to Kobe to visit the Kobe Tower, Sake Wine Factory & Perfume Factory. After lunch, continue to adventure in Nara where a visit to the Todaiji Temple, Kasuga Shrine and the Deer Park is an unique experience of its own. Hotel: Kyoto Vista Hotel or Kyoto Holiday Inn same class hotel. (B.L.D.)
Day 4 – Kyoto/Toyohashi
Enjoy a historical experience in this beautiful city of Kyoto where you’ll visit the Nijo Castle (with splendid architectural beauty and gorgeous interior decoration), the Golden Pavilion (with beautifully laid out Japanese Garden), the Heianjigu Shrine (built in 1895 to commemorate the 1,100th anniversary of this ancient capital.). Then continue drive along on the beautiful countryside to Toyohashi. Stay overnight at the Toyohashi Nikko Hotel or same class hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 5 – Toyohashi/Mt.Fuji/Hakone/Owakudani
After breakfast, morning take the Bullet Train for a “speedy” ride from Toyohashi to Hamamatsu. Then Drive though the old castle town of Odawara and onto Yumoto gateways to Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. At Khiwakon, make your wish come true at the four side Buddha and Temple. Continue your adventure to Lake Hakone where a Catamara awaits to take you for a cruise on the lake. Take a ride up the mountain to visit the “Big Hell” at Owakitani. (B/L/D) over night at Lake Kawaguchi Seigaku Onsen Hotel or similar
Day 6 – Mt. Fuji Area/Kamakura/Yukohama/Tokyo
After breakfast, take a full day tour starting with Mt. Fuji then visit the 745-year old enormous bronze statue of the sitting Buddha in Kamakura. Then process to Yukohama where you will visit the Chinatown, Yamashita Park and Factory outlet. After BBQ Buffet Dinner. Transfer to Ana InterContinental, Tokyo or Hotel Metropolitan, Tokyo or Similar hotel for rest. (B/L/D)
Day 7 – Tokyo
After breakfast, the full day tour is starting with Tokyo Tower for a panoramic view of the city, then to Imperial East Garden (formerly party of Imperial Palace Grounds), and Asakusa Kannon Temple with its bustling arcade of Souvenir shops. After lunch, continue to visit the thickly wooded Meiji Shrine, the largest of Japan’s native Shinto Shrine and other points of interest in Japan. Hotel Le Meridian Grand Pacific. (B/L)
Day 8 – Tokyo
After breakfast, the whole day is free for leisure or you can take hotel free shuttle to Disneyland, also you can take 5 minutes walk from hotel to Tokyo Car Exhibition Mega Center to try the automatic driving with computerize Electric car or you can shop at nearby big shopping center or you can take Monorail to Shinjuku to see the underground shopping center. Day 9 – Tokyo/San Francisco
Wrap up your memories and bid farewell to Japan and return to the United States via United Airlines. (B)
